@28 use the HONA gel system for their manicures and pedicures. For us, these are the best products on the market, as it causes absolute minimal damage to the natural nail bed. It is a gel-based polish which remains chip-free for up to 14 days. You get that perfect finish, high shine and the best part…it will greatly improve your nail health.

Gel Builder / BIAB

So what is gel builder / PureBuild/BIAB? - You’ll see this on our booking system described as Gel overlay BIAB. It is simply put, a builder gel to help strengthen and protect thin/bendy nails. Its easily our most popular service and we all us girls in the salon swear by it, as day to day our hands are constantly in use and it just gives that added protection for those wishing to grow their natural nails.

Typical manicure procedure

It all starts with immaculate nail prep this is easily 1/3 of your treatment time and the most important part. All our nail technicians have undergone extensive training in creating the perfect canvas in which to create your nails from.
We then apply your gel as you would a normal polish, a base, 2 thin coats of colour followed by a topcoat. Nail art, glitters and gems can be added to create a unique and personal design that’s perfect for you ( remember to book for nail art)
Both Charlotte and Amy are our senior nail techs who have many years of training when it comes to gel application and nail art, therefore their prices are slightly higher. We do also offer nail appointments with our junior nail techs Danielle and Jane who have been under Charlotte's ongoing training for the past 2 years. Our junior techs are also able to offer basic nail art such as marble effect, chromes, glitter ombre, decals or foils.

To create artificial nail extensions we use two different methods depending on on what look you are trying to achieve.

Gel Extensions with builder gel - This method is perfect for those looking to start growing their natural nails but want a bit of length to start them off. Eventually your nails will grow to a point where we simply use this as a gel overlay on the natural nail for strength. This is our most popular method.

Extensions with artificial tips -

Please be aware gel extensions are flexible in order to cause minimal damage to the natural nail bed. They are not a brittle, hard material like acrylic.
