TINTING

Eyebrow tinting, no more eyebrow pencil!! This treatment makes your eyebrows more noticeable and is great for covering greys! Eyebrow tinting will enhance the general appearance of your eyes and is particularly beneficial for people who have very fair eyebrows and for people who normally use eyebrow pencils. The colours can be chosen from light brown, natural brown, blue/black, or black.

What does the eyebrow tinting involve?

Cleansing eyebrows of makeup with oil-free remover
Small amount of Vaseline can be applied around the eyebrows
Tint is carefully applied to the eyebrows for a few minutes depending on hair/skin type
Tint is then removed, and eyebrows wiped down with cosmetic pads and cleaner
The client is then free to wear additional makeup if desired.

How long does it last?

The life cycle of the eyebrow hair is approximately four to six weeks therefore after this period of time the hair will have returned to its original colour. The treatment, however, can be repeated on a regular basis.

Several factors can affect exactly how much time you can go in between eyebrow-tinting treatments. The consensus among experts is that eyebrow tinting will last between 2 to 6 weeks. Factors in how long your tinting will last include:

the darkness on the tint, usually the darker the tint the longer the colour lasts
how hard you scrub your face when cleansing
your skin type, oilier skin tends to mean oiler hair so colour fades quicker
what type of makeup remover or face cleanser you use
sun exposure
sunscreen use
how quickly your hair grows and sheds.

Generally speaking, expect your tint to last about a month between touch-ups.

Please note that all new clients must have a free tint test at least 24 hours before treatment. Even if you have had tinting done elsewhere the brands of tint vary between salons which means there could be different ingredients.
